Bamboo activated charcoal, used in many fields in Japan, has qualities to be exploited in mixture with the other ingredients of the substrate, mainly for conifers. It is a natural supply of potash (K). When mixed, it lightens the substrate and releases oxygen while draining (aeration of the substrate). Antioxidant, it blocks the development of pathogenic bacteria to fight against fungal diseases. Purifying, it has great adsorption capacities for toxic substances (chlorine, heavy metals, pesticides ...). It is a retainer and regulator of nutrients. It is a habitat for microorganisms such as mycorrhizae.
